Dr. Evan Ward

Dr. Evan Ward is from Fairmont, Minnesota. In 2019, he graduated from Augustana University in Sioux Falls, South Dakota where he studied Biology and Business Administration. He then earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2023. Throughout his studies, he has had unique experiences interning at the Great Plains Zoo in Sioux Falls and working at an animal rescue center in Guatemala. After his graduation in 2023, he enthusiastically joined the Companion Animal Care Center team.

Dr. Ward has a wide range of medical and surgical interests, and he is thrilled to be joining a hospital where such a diverse number of cases are always present from wellness exams to emergency cases.

In his personal time, Dr. Ward enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking, biking, gardening, and boating. His true loves include pursuing waterfowl and upland species with dogs in the fall and fishing the rest of the year. He is eager to expand his fly-fishing knowledge throughout the Driftless region. Dr. Ward is excited to meet new people and serve the pets of Winona and the surrounding communities.
